Instructional Design Portfolio Examples: Developing an effective online portfolio and presence

One the the biggest challenges in the Instructional Design world is knowing how to sell yourself. Four years ago, I used Cengage's Pathbrite Porfolios. Four years later, it is this website to further demonstrate my skill growth. However, websites can be tricky to include all of one's skills and experience. For example, research projects can take years to complete. How do you capture this information outside of academic publishing? What about sharing work that is the property of the company you completed the project for? Case studies and blogs are two ways to market your skills. 

Another type of portfolio, is one built in a type of software you wish to illustrate your skills in. The following is mini-portfolio is one I created to demonstrate my research skills and experiences in Articulate's Rise 360:
